Online

To make a secure online donation to the MU Center on Religion & the Professions please navigate to: https://donatetomu.missouri.edu/.

Fill out the form as follows:

1. Choose Other under the “please select a fund” option, under Fund.
2. Fill in the amount you want to give under Amount.
3. In the text box, type in Center on Religion & the Professions.
4. Follow prompts to see whether your employer has a gift-matching program by visiting the “matching gift lookup page.” If it does, enter your employer’s name in the appropriate text box. If your company is eligible, you may request a matching gift form from your employer. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Gift matching can double or triple the impact of your gift.
5. Click Continue to Payment Information.
6. Check closely for accuracy. If you need to make a correction, click “back” in your web browser.
7. Click Submit Gift.
8. Enter billing, credit card and contact information. Check for accuracy. Click Continue.
9. Verify information. Click Confirm, if correct.
10. Wait for receipt page to appear. Print receipt for your records. You will also receive two e-mails: a credit card transaction confirmation, and a note of appreciation for your gift. A formal receipt will arrive by mail.

Check

When making a contribution to the Center on Religion & the Professions, make your check payable to the University of Missouri-Columbia. Note on the “memo” line of your check that the gift is for the Center on Religion & the Professions. If you would like to designate your gift for a particular area of need at the Center, please include a short note with your check or include the designation on the “memo” line.

The MU Center on Religion & the Professions accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards for your convenience. There are several ways to donate using your credit card:

• By Letter - Send a note or letter including your name, credit card type, account number, expiration date, billing address, signature, amount you wish to contribute, preferred designation at the Center (if any), and telephone number or e-mail address.

• By Phone - Call toll free at 1-877-GIFT2MU with your credit card information. Be sure to indicate that you want your donation to go to the MU Center on Religion & the Professions. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Central Standard Time.
• By Computer - Give online using the MU web site at https://donatetomu.missouri.edu/ and earmark your gift for the MU Center on Religion & the Professions. See above instructions for giving Online.

Stocks and securities

To make a gift of stocks or securities, please contact Debra Mason, Center director, at (573) 884-6295 or MasonDL@missouri.edu and she will assist you in the transfer process.

Matching gifts

To encourage employees to make charitable gifts, many corporations match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Corporate giving
MU’s Office of Corporate Relations serves as a liaison between MU and the corporate community. Its primary functions are to identify areas of need and interest; establish and develop relationships between the company and MU faculty, researchers, students and staff; and build a partnership based on mutually beneficial opportunities.
